LOCATION On the seaside, along the beach of Mahdia, 3 miles from the town centre. The closest airport is the one in Monastir, 28 miles away. Expect a trip of 1 hour. ACCOMMODATION  Prepared for at least three persons, the rooms are spacious (323 ft²). They continue into a balcony equipped with plastic armchairs and table. The furniture, in (blue or white) painted wood, and light wood are in clean contemporary style. A watercolour above the headboard represents a marine scenery. No other element of decor on the walls left in white colour. Resting atmosphere, with what you need in equipment to assure a good level of comfort: air conditioning, satellite television, telephone (exterior line via the operator), safe (with fee). The bathroom has a bathtub, a hair dryer and a basket of welcoming products. Separate water closet. OVERVIEW  With 474 rooms, the Mahdia Beach is one of the biggest hotels in Mahdia. The rooms are spread out on 2 floors in the main building and in the 4-floor extension, built in 2001. The lobby, of composite style, mixes several influences: oriental (wood panels painted and enhanced with gold), occidental (living areas in Louis XIII style) and contemporary Tunisian (glass and wrought iron candelabra). Outside, a swimming pool in the shape of a fan occupies the centre of the gardens. It offers enough space to swim lengths, 165 ft, and is also equipped with a pool-bar. Around and up to the beach, lawns with exotic trees offer a nice relaxing environment. Plastic lounge chairs, canvas sunshades and mattresses (with fee) are furnished. Beach towels are furnished at the front desk with deposit. FOOD AND DRINK  Offered in all inclusive, fullboard includes food with local drinks at the table, and snacks (sandwiches, pastries, and crepes) and drinks between meals. The only eating space, not included in the formula, is the barbecue-restaurant located between the swimming pool and the beach. The main restaurant is a big room decorated with columns, and leads to a terrace with a view of the swimming pool. In the evening, you have theme buffets: oriental, Tunisian and Mediterranean... In the morning and at noon, also buffets, with a Tunisian area (couscous, dates, pastries). BEACH  The hotel is located on the seashore of the beautiful beach of Mahdia. The furnished space is 985 ft long and 245 ft wide. Lounge chairs, and straw sunshades are furnished. Be careful mattresses are not free (1.5 dinar a day). The water is turquoise, the beach with white sand. As for water sports, only windsurfing and kayaking are included. You can practice other activities if you pay an extra fee. Lovers of walks on the seashore won't hesitate to go to the centre of Mahdia through the beach. Expect to walk for 40 minutes. ]]>
